Overview

OneIQ’s Fullstack View offers a comprehensive visualization of infrastructure connections, including components, layers, and network flows. This powerful feature helps IT teams understand relationships, analyze network dependencies, and identify resource consumption patterns—all through an intuitive graphical interface.

Navigating Fullstack in OneIQ

To effectively use the Fullstack View feature, follow these steps:

  1. Explore topology visualization

    • View a complete topology of discovered platforms, with interconnecting lines representing relationships.

    • Quickly identify how different infrastructure components interact within your environment.

  2. Focus on specific components

    • Use the Focus button to isolate a specific selection and its immediate relationships.

    • This hides unrelated components, allowing for a clearer analysis of specific subsystems.

  3. Select multiple entities

    • Click the Multi-Select button to enable the selection of multiple components simultaneously.

    • Analyze relationships between specific groups of infrastructure elements.

  4. Reset your view:

    • Click Reset Selection at the bottom of the screen to restore the full visualization.

    • This allows you to start a new analysis from the complete topology view.

Analyzing Network Dependencies

Fullstack view offers powerful tools for network analysis.

  • Network flow visualization

To see network communication and visualization, you must first enable Netflow collection. To do this, see this article Network Flow Monitoring

    • Observe how components communicate with both internal and third-party systems.

    • Analyze network dependencies to evaluate the potential impacts of workload changes or migrations.

  • Linked entities analysis

    • Click the Linked Entities button to view related items connected to the same object.

    • Discover hidden relationships and dependencies within your infrastructure.

Utilizing Heat Map Features

The built-in heat map helps identify entities based on key metrics:

  • Monitor costs, resource consumption, and utilization rates across your environment.

  • Quickly pinpoint high-consumption components that may require optimization.

Benefits of Fullstack View Analysis

  • Enhanced visibility into complex infrastructure relationships and dependencies.

  • Simplified troubleshooting by isolating relevant components and their connections.

  • Improved migration planning through clear visualization of network dependencies.

  • Optimized resource allocation using heat map-based consumption analysis.

By leveraging OneIQ’s Fullstack View, IT teams gain deeper insights into their infrastructure topology, better understand component relationships, and make more informed decisions about system changes and optimizations.
