OneIQ’s filtering features help you analyze IT environments more efficiently by focusing on relevant data. With dashboards and entity selection, you can customize your view for specific analysis tasks, making it easier to extract insights and support decision-making.
Filtering in OneIQ
To get started with filtering in OneIQ, follow these steps:
Click the Dashboards tab.
Open the entity selection dropdown to view and select the entities you want to summarize.
Additional filtering options are available in the Entities tab.
Applying Filters
To filter entities, select an entity type, such as virtual machines.
Next, click the filter button in the top right corner of the screen. You can filter entities by various criteria, including:
Name
Family
CPU
Architecture
Power
Connection State
Switching Entity Types
When you switch to another entity type, such as Datacenter Host, the filtering options update automatically to reflect relevant criteria. OneIQ dynamically adjusts filters based on the selected entity type.
Visual Filter Indicators
When filters are active, a green dot will appear on the filter button, indicating that filtering is applied.
Clearing Filters
To remove all filters, click the Clear button in the top right corner. This resets your view and displays the full set of entities.

Any filters applied during analysis are also reflected in Excel reports generated through OneIQ, making it easy to share and review filtered data.
