Overview

OneIQ is a cloud-based (SaaS) platform that helps you understand, plan, and optimize your IT infrastructure across datacenters, cloud, and container platforms.

It is built around three core components:

  1. OneIQ Pulse – collects data

  2. OneIQ Central – stores data securely

  3. OneIQ Portal – displays data and enables collaboration

These three components work together to collect, protect, and present insights — all under your control.

OneIQ Pulse

What it does:

OneIQ Pulse is a lightweight, agentless connector that gathers information from your systems — such as configuration, performance, and network activity — without installing anything on them.

How it works:

  • Pulse collects data from on-premises and cloud environments.

  • The data is encrypted and sent securely to OneIQ Central.

  • Each Pulse installation connects to an IT Environment (ITE) using a unique connection key.

Where it runs:

  • Cloud: AWS, Azure, and GCP

  • Cloud-Native: Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift

  • Datacenter: VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Azure Stack HCI, and more

Security:

Pulse utilizes full encryption (SSL/TLS and AES-256), does not store credentials in plain text, and automatically updates with security patches.

OneIQ Central

What it does:

OneIQ Central is the secure data warehouse hosted in Microsoft Azure (Canada Central). It stores all collected data safely, with encryption and strict isolation between environments.

Key points:

  • All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

  • Each customer’s environment is private and separated.

  • Certified to ISO/IEC 27001 standards for security.

OneIQ Portal

What it does:

The OneIQ Portal is the web interface where you view and analyze your data.

It provides:

  • Interactive dashboards and reports

  • Cost and capacity planning tools

  • Secure Workspaces for collaboration

  • Privacy protection through data scrambling

  • Strong security with SSO, 2FA, and zero-trust access

Licensing in OneIQ

Licensing determines the extent of data history you can view and the features you can utilize.

Free Tier:

  • 7-day rolling history per IT Environment (ITE)

  • Basic dashboards and visibility

Premium or Sponsored Tier:

  • 30-day (or more) extended history

  • Advanced analytics, planning, and cost insights

  • Applies automatically when a premium user joins a Workspace

In short:

  • Pulse collects data.

  • Central stores it securely.

  • Portal displays it and enables collaboration.

Licensing determines how long you can see data and which tools are available.
