Why Workspace Data May Look Old

If the data in a Workspace looks outdated, it’s usually because the shared snapshot has expired.

Workspaces show a fixed window of data from an IT Environment (ITE) β€”

  • 7 days with the Free Tier

  • 30 days with a Premium or Sponsored license

After that period, the snapshot stops updating automatically. The ITE itself is still collecting data, but the Workspace view no longer refreshes until the ITE owner shares a new snapshot.

Steps to Refresh (or disconnect and reconnect) a Workspace.

Steps to Refresh or Reconnect a Workspace

  1. Confirm Ownership

    • Verify who owns the ITE (the person who deployed Pulse and manages the profiled platforms).

    • Only this owner can refresh or re-share the ITE data.

  2. Choose a Refresh Method

There are two valid options depending on who initiates the sharing:

Option 1 β€” Environment Owner Refreshes Data

    • Log in to the OneIQ Portal.

    • Go to Overview.

    • Select Share my IT Environment with others.

    • A new workspace will be created automatically.

    • Attach the existing ITE to this workspace to publish the latest data.

    Option 2 β€” Third-Party Advisor Requests Refresh

    • Advisor logs into the OneIQ Portal.

    • Go to Overview.

    • Select Invite someone to share their IT Environment.

    • The ITE owner receives an invitation email.

    • The ITE owner must:

      • Accept the invite.

      • Create or select a new workspace.

      • Attach their ITE to that workspace to re-establish data sharing.

NB: You do not need to reinstall OneIQ Pulse, and no data is lost. This process is simply refreshing the current ITE data in a new workspace.
