OneIQ Portal Login Options and SSO Setup
The OneIQ Portal has the potential to support two login methods:
Username and password using a OneIQ account (default)
Single Sign On (SSO) using your company identity provider (requires setup)
Whether you can use SSO depends on whether SSO has been set up between OneIQ and your organization.
When SSO will work
SSO only works after it has been configured on both sides:
Your identity provider must be configured for OneIQ.
OneIQ must configure and enable SSO for your organization in the OneIQ Portal.
If SSO is not set up with OneIQ, then trying to log in with SSO will not work, even if your company uses SSO internally.
How to request SSO setup
If your company wants SSO and it is not currently enabled, follow these steps:
Contact OneIQ Support and request SSO for your organization.
OneIQ will assess the request and confirm whether SSO can be enabled for your organization and workspace type
If approved, we will reply with what we need from your side (configuration details, metadata, and any required identifiers).
Once the configuration is complete, OneIQ will enable SSO for your organization.
What happens after SSO is enabled
After SSO is enabled for your organization:
New and existing users will sign in using SSO, based on the configuration.
In some organizations, SSO is enforced, meaning password login is disabled and SSO is the only supported login method. This is common for sponsored or managed workspaces (example: Lenovo sponsored access).
Passwords and SSO
The default option is password login. Users can change their password in the OneIQ Portal under Profile Details.
Supporting both SSO and password login for the same user is not the default. If this is required, it must be enabled by OneIQ on the backend.
Troubleshooting
If a user says SSO is not working:
Confirm whether SSO is enabled for their organization in OneIQ.
If it is not enabled, the user must use password login until SSO is set up.
If it is enabled and enforced, confirm they are using the correct identity provider account and entry point provided for SSO.
