Overview

OneIQ Pulse for Datacenter supports collection of configuration and performance data from Microsoft Windows Server hosts. Virtual machines running Microsoft Windows Server should be discovered through the underlying platform.

The following versions are supported:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012

Prerequisites

Deploy OneIQ Pulse for Datacenter and make sure that it meets all the System Requirements.

Permissions

A Domain Admin or a Local Admin account with permissions to access WMI and Remote Registry. Use a local administrator account for machines that are not joined to a domain.

Best Practice: create a dedicated Domain Admin account for data collection.

Configuration

The following instrumentation must be enabled on each host:

  • Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)

  • File and Print Sharing

  • Remote Registry

Network

  • Ports 135, 139 and 445 as well as ports used by WMI must be open.

  • A network path must exist between target systems and OneIQ Pulse.

Note: Monitoring the machine hosting the OneIQ Pulse is not supported.
