Prerequisites

You must have access to Windows Server where OneIQ Pulse is installed.

Overview

This error occurs when an IT environment owner profiles a Microsoft Failover Cluster, or a Hyper-V cluster and the OneIQ Pulse data connector is not installed on a dedicated machine as recommended in the System Requirements section of OneIQ Pulse for Datacenter article. Possible scenarios for this issue:

  • OneIQ Pulse is deployed on a node that is part of a cluster

  • OneIQ Pulse is a VM that is not dedicated to data collection

Failed to connect to Windows cluster node XXXX at XXXX. Try using a domain account as Pulse does not currently support multiple credentials. Connecting to remote server XXXX failed with the following error message: Access is denied.
Error Code: 15884

โ€‹

This happens because when OneIQ Pulse runs on a cluster node, it tries to connect to gather performance data via the internal interface (usually IPv6) instead of the recommended management interface, which causes the error.

Troubleshooting

  1. To minimize the possibility of errors and warnings, please always ensure best practices for deployment are followed as described in the System Requirements section of the OneIQ Pulse for Datacenter article.

  2. The error might indicate that the credentials worked for one of the nodes but not all of them. Try using a domain account that works with all nodes.
